Silver Arrow are recruiting for a Yard Operative for a permanent position based in Rocester, Uttoxeter.
Your Shift Pattern:
- Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday working (paid at an enhanced rate)
- 1 hour lunch break

Your job:
- The role is to engage in the receipt and dispatch of finished plant machinery. This will require the individual to drive, park and load a wide range of brand new, high-value plant machinery onto HGVs, in addition to any other tasks required to maintain product throughout.
- Complete engagement in the loading process of finished machines.
- Driving, parking and loading of finished machines.
- Assisting drivers with loading and unloading.
- To support the safe, legal, efficient and effective operation of all yard activities in accordance with group policies and procedures.
- Reporting directly to the Group Compliance & Auditing Manager.
- Regular inspections of all parked products stored on site for damage, defects or shortages, with any issues reported promptly.
- Maintaining stock scanning system.
- Assisting to maintain a suitable and sufficient loose equipment store, containing the various items of equipment required by drivers, ensuring an appropriate balance between stock availability and expenditure.
- Maintaining site safety protocols.
- Maintaining site housekeeping.
- Ensuring all drivers are compliant with site rules, including correct PPE, at all times. Provide feedback on this, both positive and negative.
- Conducting additional machine preparations where required.
