CNC Machinist Setter/Operator - 1 Year Experience Required (Turning/Milling) - Telford - Permanent Role.
Location: Telford
Working hours/ Shift:
- Monday-Thursday: Core hours 08:30-15:30 (30-minute lunch), flexible start 06:30, flexible finish up to 17:30
- Friday: Core hours 08:30-12:30 (no lunch), flexible start 06:30, flexible finish up to 14:00
Contracted 39 hours per week with flexibility required based on workload.
Salary: £16.70ph / £33,867pa
Key Responsibilities:
- Set and operate CNC machinery to engineering drawing specifications
- Work from customer specifications and interpret technical drawings
- Use measuring and inspection equipment to ensure component quality
- Edit CNC programs when required
- Maintain high attention to detail and quality standards
- Identify process improvements and collaborate with colleagues
Essential requirements:
- Experience in CNC turning or milling
- Knowledge of HEIDENHAIN, XYZ Potrac, or FANUC systems
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Programming experience beneficial but not essential
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
