Silver Arrow require an experienced HGV Workshop Shift Supervisor to work for our client, a prestigious transport company, based in the Preston area.
Salary: £50,000pa
Your Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off 0700am-1900

Responsibilities:
- Supervising and working as part of the team of technicians and apprentices.
- Ensuring job cards are processed in a timely manner and work is completed to the required standards.
- Oversee and ensure that all processes are followed correctly and all health and safety rules are being adhered to.
- Act as the main link between the managers and wider team, as well as being a key point of contact for customers where required.
- Assist with planning and relevant training and development for the workshop staff, ensuring good communication & information flow between the front desk and service staff.
- Supporting training and development in the workshop.
Qualifications / What we need from you:
- Experience managing teams.
- Ideally have a clean HGV/LGV licence however, this is not essential.
- Experience of working in the transport industry and in a working service workshop.
- The ability to manage teams on multiple shifts.
- You do NOT need to be a qualified mechanic, but you do need solid workshop experience and the ability to lead a technical team.
