Shift: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00 (or equivalent)

Silver Arrow require an aspiring finance professional to work for a prestigious transport company based in Middlewich. Are you a dynamic and detail-oriented individual, looking for a starter role that offers the opportunity to be involved across multiple areas of the business? This role is perfect for a recent school leaver, or someone wanting to take the first steps into a finance career.

Your Role:

  • Raise & support with the sales invoicing process to ensure billing is done accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Business support with credit control, ensuring overdue debts are regularly chased across all businesses.
  • Assist with preparation of weekly payroll, with relevant submissions to bank and authorities
  • Assistance with purchase ledger, ensuring all invoices are receiving and processed in timely manner.
  • Preparation of bank reconciliations as required, ensuring all cash is allocated correctly.
  • Analyse financial performance and provide recommendations to the Financial Controller.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support company objectives.
  • Assist in ensuring control and compliance of all accounting and finance procedures within the business.

  • Willingness to learn new skills and get involved with all aspects of the finance function.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Relevant Communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A relevant school qualification is preferred but not required.
