Purpose of the Role: To plan and manage time critical logistics solutions throughout Europe and worldwide, operating within strict time constraints and ensuring all schedules and deadlines are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage time critical logistics and transport operations across the UK and Europe
- Monitor shipments and ensure all schedules, deadlines and service levels are achieved
- Work closely with the Team Leader to support operational best practice and service excellence
- Maintain awareness of European driving regulations and transport restrictions to support effective route planning
- Escalate delays or operational issues promptly and provide suitable resolution options
- Build and maintain strong relationships with transport carriers and suppliers
- Identify and communicate any gaps in carrier coverage to the supplier management team
- Ensure carrier non-conformances are accurately recorded and escalated in line with quality procedures
Essential requirements:
- Previous experience within logistics, transport or freight coordination is desirable.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Good problem solving and decision-making abilities
- Additional language skills would be advantageous
