About the business: A well-established food manufacturer with a long-standing presence in the UK market is seeking a Hygiene Manager in Lancashire. Operating multiple production sites nationally and employing a large workforce, the business produces a range of well-known food brands found in households across the country. They are committed to building an inclusive workforce where people feel empowered to build a fulfilling and successful career, and are now looking to appoint an experienced Hygiene Manager to lead site-wide hygiene standards at their facility.
The Role: This is a leadership position responsible for overseeing site-wide hygiene operations, ensuring the facility consistently meets the highest levels of cleanliness, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and manage cleaning schedules and supporting documentation
- Lead the Hygiene Team and collaborate closely with Operations
- Manage pest control activities across the site
- Ensure regulatory compliance and oversee staff training
- Coordinate with third-party hygiene suppliers
- Manage the hygiene budget
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives
What We're Looking For:
- Prior experience as a Hygiene Manager, ideally within FMCG
- IOSH qualification (or currently working towards one)
- Level 3 Food Safety qualification desirable
- A demonstrated track record of maintaining high hygiene standards
- Strong stakeholder communication and influencing skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously
- Flexible availability to meet the needs of the business
