QA Manager

Location: Manchester

Salary : Up to £42,000 + Bonus

Are you an experienced QA leader with food manufacturing experienced ready for a new challenge? Interested in joining an established food business producing a range of branded and retailer label products?

About the Role

As a key part of the Technical team, you’ll play a key role in driving standards across the site. Your responsibilities will include :

  • Leading a team of QAs through ongoing coaching and mentoring to develop their skills and effectiveness.
  • Developing strong relationships with Production and Engineering teams to embed a food quality focused culture and ensure compliance.
  • Leading the site’s HACCP team, playing a key role in internal audits, and maintaining QA documentation.
  • Investigating non-conformance, looking at root causes to resolve issues and reduce customer complaints.
  • Analysing data to identify improvement opportunities around quality, costs, and efficiency.

About You

You’ll need to have experience of leading quality teams if food manufacturing and we’re keen to hear from anybody with the following :

  • Degree qualified in Food Science or similar, with HACCP Level 4 qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of BRC and retailer codes of practice.
  • Proven leadership skills, able to motivate and develop teams.
  • Able to work closely with and, when appropriate, challenge colleagues at all levels to drive standards.
