Interim Warehouse/Operations Manager

My client is looking for a proactive, results-driven leader to manage Warehouse/distribution and end-to-end operations at their state-of-the-art HQ in London.
What You’ll Do:
- Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate 19-45 team members, managing recruitment, training, and career progression.
- Operations Management: Oversee the packing, labelling, warehousing, and dispatch processes—ensuring orders are scheduled, executed on time, and meet quality standards.
- Stock & Equipment: Handle stock control, ordering of essential materials, and ensure smooth delivery of orders.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, planning, and quality teams to adapt dynamically to changes and maintain high GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards.
- Cost Control: Manage labour costs and operational budgets to drive efficiency and profitability.
Minimum Requirements:
- Proven leadership experience in food manufacturing or a similar environment.
- Operations and Warehouse management experience 5 yrs+.
- Excellent organisational skills with a strong customer focus.
- Sound knowledge of health & safety, GMP, HACCP, and related food safety standards.
- Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office / potentially some ERP systems.
- Basic engineering knowledge of food production machinery is a plus.
- FLT license is an advantage.
The Details:
- Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday regular days. (It’s never 9-5 – but nothing mental).
- Contract Duration: 9-12 months initial term.
- Competitive day rate.
- Interview within 7 days / start towards end of February.
