Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic leadership of Inclusion across the school
- Leading provision for pupils with SEND, disadvantaged pupils and vulnerable groups
- Ensuring high-quality inclusive practice across all classrooms to improve outcomes for these groups
- Monitoring progress, provision and outcomes for pupils with additional needs
- Working collaboratively with families, external agencies and professionals
- Leading staff development to strengthen inclusive teaching, adaptive practice and impactful interventions
- Contributing to whole‑school improvement priorities as part of the Senior Leadership Team
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds the National Award for SEN Coordination or the National Professional Qualification for SENDCO
- Is a SENDCO in your current school or setting with a minimum of 5 years successful Primary teaching experience ideally across more than one Key Stage
- Is committed to high standards, equity and inclusion for every child
- Is an excellent classroom practitioner with strong leadership experience
- Has strong communication and partnership skills with parents and external agencies
- Can inspire, support and challenge staff to improve outcomes for all pupils
