Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic leadership of Inclusion across the school
  • Leading provision for pupils with SEND, disadvantaged pupils and vulnerable groups
  • Ensuring high-quality inclusive practice across all classrooms to improve outcomes for these groups
  • Monitoring progress, provision and outcomes for pupils with additional needs
  • Working collaboratively with families, external agencies and professionals
  • Leading staff development to strengthen inclusive teaching, adaptive practice and impactful interventions
  • Contributing to whole‑school improvement priorities as part of the Senior Leadership Team

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds the National Award for SEN Coordination or the National Professional Qualification for SENDCO
  • Is a SENDCO in your current school or setting with a minimum of 5 years successful Primary teaching experience ideally across more than one Key Stage
  • Is committed to high standards, equity and inclusion for every child
  • Is an excellent classroom practitioner with strong leadership experience
  • Has strong communication and partnership skills with parents and external agencies
  • Can inspire, support and challenge staff to improve outcomes for all pupils
