Role overview

  • In-person position (hybrid options available).
  • Full-time and part-time applications considered.
  • Supporting day-to-day company operations.
  • Core administrative duties can be extended based on candidate experience and interest.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK.
  • What we do

Four hundred and forty million people suffer from chronic eye disease; it is the leading cause of sight loss in the developed world.

To prevent people going blind, clinicians take sub-surface images of the back of the eye so that the condition can be diagnosed and managed appropriately.

This uses a device called an optical coherence tomography machine, or ‘OCT’.

Siloton is developing a portable OCT to provide better access to diagnostic and monitoring services for everyone who needs it.

Based on Siloton’s world-leading photonic chip technology, this will reduce the burden of treatment while removing bottlenecks in the clinical pipeline, alleviating pressure on healthcare systems and ensuring patients receive the best possible care, wherever and whoever they are.

What we are looking for

Your role will be to support the team, managing the core operational tasks that are fundamental to keeping the business running.

You will work across entire breadth of the company and will be a crucial part of Siloton’s efforts to build a new generation of eye scanner.

  • Invoicing, purchasing, and supplier coordination.
  • Organising company events and team travel.
  • Minuting meetings.

The position includes the opportunity to gain experience in, and exposure to, many areas of company operations.

As Siloton progresses, the early entry of the person into the company will provide opportunities to take on more responsibility, such as managing newer recruits or moving into a more specialised role.

Your line manager will be Siloton’s CEO, Dr Alasdair Price.
