Silly Wee Films is a dynamic film, television, and corporate video production company based in Glasgow, Scotland, providing services across the region, including Edinburgh, Falkirk, Greenock, and Paisley. Known for partnering with prominent clients like the Glasgow Film Festival, BBC, Glasgow International Comedy Festival, and World of Wonder, our work spans creative and promotional projects. We specialize in delivering high-quality, affordable video production using High‑Definition broadcast equipment and industry‑trained professionals. Silly Wee Films is committed to creating content that commands attention and showcases creative innovation in every project.
We are looking for an experienced short film or feature film producer to join our new Scottish period fantasy project CALL OF THE LAOICH. BAFTA nominated and RTS winning director Amy Coop is attached alongside Development Producer Mary O’Connell and VFX Producer Anna Engel. We are also raising funds to attach BAFTA winning writer Debbie Moon to join the writing team.
We are seeking a producing partner to work with us on:
- Funding applications
- Overseeing our budget and schedule
- Getting the film ready for financing
- Attaching onscreen talent
- Attending film markets
- Striking up relationships with sales agents and co‑productions
Qualifications:
- Project management skills, including budget planning, scheduling, and task coordination
- Experience in video production with an understanding of pre‑production, shooting, and post‑production processes
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to manage relationships with clients, creative teams, and stakeholders
- Business development and marketing expertise to identify opportunities and grow company partnerships
- Leadership and problem‑solving abilities to navigate challenges and lead teams effectively
- Knowledge of High‑Definition broadcast equipment and familiarity with production tools and software
- Passion for storytelling and creativity in visual and narrative arts
- Experience in the film or television industry in Scotland is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Media, Communications, or related field is preferred
