A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Solicitor or Legal Executive to join our well-established and highly regarded Commercial Litigation department at Sills & Betteridge. Our Commercial Litigation team is known for its depth of expertise across a wide range of commercial and personal disputes, delivering practical, effective advice to clients. We pride ourselves on a collaborative culture where teamwork is valued, progression is supported, and individuals are trusted to take ownership of their work.
You will work closely with several experienced fee earners within the department, as well as colleagues across the firm's wider practice areas. In this role, you will manage a varied and engaging caseload covering the full remit of commercial and civil litigation matters, including shareholder and partnership disputes, property disputes, cohabitation and neighbour disputes, contract disputes, professional negligence, intellectual property disputes, contentious probate and debt recovery.
Key Responsibilities- Managing and progressing your own caseload, including taking on existing matters
- Dealing promptly and professionally with enquiries from clients, colleagues and prospective clients
- Supporting the ongoing development and growth of the department
- Ensuring compliance with SRA competency and regulatory requirements
Has a minimum of 5 years' PQE or equivalent in commercial and/or civil litigation. Is self-motivated, organised and able to manage their own workload effectively. Possesses good supervisory and management skills. Demonstrates strong time management and a flexible, pragmatic approach to work.
