A wonderful opportunity has arisen for an experienced and proactive Live-in Housekeeper / Household Assistant to join a warm and welcoming family based in beautiful Cobham, Surrey. The family consists of five members, including three children, along with their dog and cat. They are seeking a capable, organised and personable individual to help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of their home.
This is a long-term position within a respectful and appreciative household. While there is some involvement with the family’s youngest child, the role is not a nanny position. The parents are highly involved and are looking for someone whose primary focus will be household management, organisation and general family support.
Accommodation
The successful candidate will be provided with a separate self-contained annexe, offering comfortable and independent accommodation. The family will pay up to £50,000 per annum for an exceptional candidate, depending on experience.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 7:00am – 6:00pm
- One-hour break during the day
- Paid Overtime for overnights if needed
Duties
- Full housekeeping and household upkeep
- Laundry, ironing and wardrobe management
- Preparing simple family meals
- Weekly grocery shopping and household errands
- Maintaining household supplies and provisions
- Assisting the youngest child with his morning routine and breakfast
- Occasional school runs and collections
- Homework and reading support when required
- Occasional babysitting
- Caring for two dogs and one cat
- General household assistance and support
Travel
The family travels regularly throughout the year. During these periods, responsibilities will focus primarily on pet care and overseeing the property.
