OS Hardening & Impact Assessment
This role involves securing servers (primarily Linux/Unix, with some Windows) by applying hardening standards through manual configuration and script-based automation. Strong OS knowledge, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to assess and mitigate risks during configuration changes, including GPO-related changes, are required.
Responsibilities
- Modify and adapt PowerShell and Shell scripts for environment-specific needs.
- Analyze the impact of configuration changes and perform rollbacks when necessary.
- Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to ensure compliance.
- Lead troubleshooting and rollback strategies during incidents.
- Create implementation and rollback plans (Change Management).
Required Skills
- Deep knowledge of Linux/Unix internals (kernel parameters, services) and Windows OS.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for complex issues.
- Basic scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash).
- Ability to assess risks and validate changes before implementation.
- Experience in infrastructure-level impact analysis.
