Responsibilities
- Perform patrol inspections of in-process and final products to ensure they meet specifications.
- Document inspection outcomes by completing reports and performance records.
- Ability to liaise/communicate with the production team about quality control concerns to improve product excellence.
- Look over the production process to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
- Resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, data, manuals, and other documents to determine specifications.
- Perform dimensional checks and reports.
- Raise and close out snags as required.
- Pneumatic pressure testing of silencers and tanks.
- Control of route cards.
Qualifications / Skills
- Proven work experience as a Fabrication Shop Inspector or similar role.
- Excellent knowledge of fabrication processes.
- Proficiency in using measuring tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Good technical skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety.
- Ability to communicate and liaise with the customer.
- Ability to work as part of a team and to contribute to team morale.
