Responsibilities

  • Technical Design & Modelling: Learn to use acoustic simulation and modelling software to calculate sound attenuation and design noise-control solutions.
  • Sales Support & Quotations: Assist in preparing technical proposals, creating bills of materials, and drafting price quotations for prospective B2B clients.
  • Client Engagement: Shadow senior engineers during client meetings and site visits, helping to identify exact industrial noise requirements.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Compile noise-impact data and generate reports demonstrating how proposed products comply with UK health and safety and environmental legislation.
  • Pipeline Management: Help track customer inquiries, follow-up communications, and project opportunities in the company CRM system.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Acoustics, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or Product Design. Preferred but not essential. In house training will be given.
  • Technical Aptitude: A solid foundational understanding of sound waves, decibel (dB) metrics, frequency analysis, and vibration. Preferred but not essential. In house training will be given.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Commercial Mindset: Enthusiasm for relationship building, business development, and a drive to convert engineering problems into revenue.
  • Requirements: A valid UK driving licence is often required to travel to client sites and industrial facilities.
