The Role
As a Night Shift Quality Inspector, you'll carry out inspections throughout the manufacturing process to ensure products meet engineering drawings, customer specifications and aerospace quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting First-Off, In-Process, Subcontract and Final Inspections.
- Inspecting components using manual measuring equipment, visual inspection techniques and CMM equipment where required.
- Verifying engineering drawings, specifications and manufacturing documentation.
- Completing quality records, inspection reports and supporting non-conformance investigations.
- Ensuring products comply with FOD requirements and company quality procedures.
- Supporting Production, Engineering and Quality teams to resolve quality issues.
- Promoting continuous improvement while maintaining a safe and organised working environment.
About You
You'll ideally have:
- Previous Quality Inspection experience within aerospace, precision engineering or manufacturing.
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Experience using a range of manual inspection equipment.
- Knowledge of First-Off, In-Process and Final Inspection activities.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively.
Desirable Experience
Experience with CMM inspection, AS9100, FOD requirements, NCRs, concessions and deviation permits, together with previous experience as an Authorised Stamp Holder, would be highly advantageous.
