The Role

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you'll support both new and existing aerospace products from concept through to production. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing manufacturing processes for aerospace components.
  • Supporting production through technical problem solving and continuous improvement.
  • Creating CNC programs for Turning, Milling and Boring operations.
  • Producing BOMs, routings and ERP manufacturing data.
  • Designing tooling and workholding solutions.
  • Supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) activities.
  • Working closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, customers and suppliers.

About You

You'll ideally have:

  • A Degree, HNC or equivalent Engineering qualification.
  • At least five years' experience within precision engineering or aerospace manufacturing.
  • Strong CNC programming experience across Turning, Milling and Boring.
  • Experience creating manufacturing processes, BOMs and routings within ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and project management skills.

Technical Experience

Experience with Fanuc, Siemens (840D), Heidenhain, Solid Edge, Edgecam and Microsoft Office is desirable, along with machining knowledge of Aluminium, Titanium and Inconel. You'll also have a good understanding of Turning, Milling, Boring, Grinding, EDM and Wire Erosion. Experience with 5-Axis Mill/Turn machining, Vertical Turning and aerospace manufacturing would be advantageous.
