The Role:
Silcom Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well established and successful automotive business based in Southampton, currently seeking a highly organised and proactive Customer Operations Account Manager to join their team.
This is a customer focused operational account management position, rather than a sales role.
Responsibilities & Requirements:
- Manage and develop relationships with key customer accounts, acting as their main point of contact.
- Oversee the complete vehicle logistics process, from port arrival and vehicle preparation through to final delivery.
- Coordinate with sales, operations, transport, and finance teams to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Monitor customer orders, resolve operational issues, and ensure agreed service levels and deadlines are achieved.
- Provide regular customer updates, weekly performance reports, and account review meetings.
- Maintain accurate customer records and operational information using CRM and ERP systems.
- Previous experience in customer service, account management, logistics, or operational coordination is essential.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
The Package:
£38,000 - basic salary, on target earnings of £40,000, paid as an annual performance bonus. Plus fantastic company benefits.
Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm, no weekends.
