The Role:
We are working with a long-standing, independent motor trade business based in Reading, known for their consistent growth, excellent customer care, and commitment to high standards of service. They support both private and business customers across a wide range of vehicle needs.
Due to continued success and internal growth, they are now seeking to add a Service Advisor to their team – someone who thrives in a customer-facing role and enjoys the pace and challenge of a busy service department.
As a Service Advisor, you will be the face of the aftersales department, taking care of customer bookings, managing repair updates, and ensuring a smooth, informed journey throughout each visit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing service and repair bookings efficiently
- Providing clear updates and advice to customers on progress and additional work required
- Liaising with the workshop team to ensure accurate job completion and turnaround
- Handling service admin tasks including invoicing and warranty claims
- Maintaining strong customer relationships and high satisfaction levels
- Promoting additional services where appropriate
About You:
- Previous experience in a Service Advisor or similar aftersales role (essential)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Confident working in a busy dealership or independent garage environmentI
- T literate - experience with DMS systems advantageous
- Positive, team-oriented attitude
- Full UK driving licence required
Package:
- £28,000 - £33,000 basic salary (depending on experience)
- Realistic OTE of £37,000
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 6:00pm
- 1 in 3 Saturdays, 8:30am – 12:30pm (on rota)
