The Role:
Silcom Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established, respected, and forward-thinking business in their search for an HGV Technician. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and skilled HGV Technician seeking a stable, rewarding career within a professional and progressive workshop environment, located in Exeter.
Responsibilities & Requirements:
- Carry out routine servicing, inspections, maintenance, and repairs on a range of heavy goods vehicles to the highest standard.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
- Work to manufacturer and industry guidelines ensuring all work is completed to a safe and professional standard.
- Complete job cards, service sheets, and maintain accurate records.
- Assist with MOT preparations and ensure vehicles meet compliance standards.
- Ensure the workshop environment is kept safe, clean, and compliant at all times.
- Previous experience as a qualified HGV Technician is essential, with a recognised Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
- A valid HGV licence is desirable but not essential.
The Package:
£22.00 per hour + bonus & overtime available.
Hours - 4 on / 4 off shift pattern. 12-hour shifts (6:30am - 6:30pm). + overtime available.
