Silcom Recruitment is actively seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician on behalf of one of our forward-thinking clients, based in the Portsmouth area. Our client is offering a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and dedicated Technician to join their professional workshop team. This position will see you working with a wide range of exciting vehicles, carrying out diagnostics, servicing, repairs, and maintenance to the highest standards.
Responsibilities & Requirements of a Vehicle Technician:
- Perform vehicle servicing, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs to manufacturer standards.
- Identify and resolve technical issues efficiently and accurately using modern diagnostic equipment.
- Communicate effectively with the Service Manager and wider team regarding repair progress and findings.
- Occasionally liaise directly with customers to explain technical work and provide expert advice.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Level 2 or above qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic within an independent or franchised workshop.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Package:
- Level 2 Technician - £39,000 basic salary
- Level 3 Technician - £42,000 basic salary
- Level 4 Technician - £45,000 basic salary
- Productivity bonus - Up to £1,500 per month in bonus!
- Overtime available.

Hours: Monday to Friday 45 hour working week, no weekends.
