Silcom Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a well-established motor trade dealership group, with a site based in Southampton. Our client is looking to welcome a Trainee Service Advisor to their busy aftersales team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or develop a long-term career in the motor trade, within a supportive and structured environment.

Responsibilities of a Trainee Service Advisor:

  • Welcoming customers and booking vehicles in for service, MOT, and repair work.
  • Accurately recording customer and vehicle information while following dealership processes.
  • Supporting the service team and keeping customers informed throughout the service process.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to follow processes.
  • Previous customer service and/or administration exposure (motor trade experience not essential).
  • A confident communicator with a professional and friendly manner.
  • Holds a clean UK driving licence.
  • Willing to work full-time and keen to build a career in a customer-focused role.
  • Enjoys working as part of a team and contributing to a positive working environment.

The Package:

  • Monday to Friday – 8:00am – 6:00pm - 1 hour lunch break
  • No weekends!
  • £25,300 – £29,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
  • Full training and career development within a respected dealership group.
