Our client, who are located in Eastleigh, are looking for a confident and experienced HR Officer to provide hands-on support across all areas of people management. This is a fantastic opportunity for an accomplished HR professional who enjoys working autonomously but appreciates the availability of expert advice when needed. As the dedicated HR presence within the business, you will play a key role in fostering a positive work environment, supporting managers and employees, and ensuring compliance with all HR policies and best practices.

Responsibilities of a HR Officer:

  • Manage the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding
  • Lead HR investigations, disciplinaries, and grievance procedures with professionalism and fairness
  • Act as a point of contact for staff wellbeing, ensuring appropriate support and referrals
  • Conduct regular 1-2-1 reviews and track any follow-up actions
  • Monitor and maintain accurate HR records and systems, including GDPR compliance
  • Liaise with payroll and H&S teams on relevant matters such as maternity/paternity and employee accidents
  • Support internal moves, training needs analysis, and general HR enquiries via the HR mailbox

What we’re looking for:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent)
  • At least 5 years of HR generalist experience in a standalone or senior advisory role
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage sensitive situations with discretion

The Package:

  • Hybrid with minimum 1 day a week on-site
  • Salary: Circa £40,000 FTE, pro-rated to £20,000 per annum for 2.5 days per week
  • Working Pattern: 2.5 days per week (equivalent to 20 hours), with a consistent onsite presence 1 day per week (to be agreed), plus flexibility to attend onsite when business needs arise
