The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our client located in Fareham, working as a HGV Technician. You will be tasked with ensuring their vital front-line services operate smoothly. This is afull time, permanent position working Monday - Friday.
Working in a small team in the vehicle workshop you will be undertaking maintenance of vehicles & plant equipment.Undertaking inspection, servicing, MOT preparation, diagnosing and repairs on all types of fleet vehicles.
Continual training and development will be given to meet the ever-changing automotive sector.
Responsibilities & Requirements of a Vehicle Technician:
- Carry out safety inspection on Large and Light Vehicles
- Carry out safety inspection on all types of Plant and equipment.
- Carry out servicing, diagnosing, repairs and defects on all types of vehicles and owned equipment.
- Prepare vehicles for MOT and meet the UK road safety legislation.
- Undertake specialist diagnostic with use of scanner for maintenance, and repair works of plant/vehicles in the following specialist areas:
- Electrical faults
- Hydraulics
- Computerised container hoists & Refuse Body
- Automatic gear boxes
- Plant Equipment
Package:
- Salary up to £38,460 + Overtime at time and a half.
- 36-Days holiday
- No weekends
- Monday to Friday – 5:30am – 2:00pm – Week 1
- Monday to Friday – 8:00am – 4:00pm – Week 2
