Silcom Recruitment are pleased to be supporting a valued client based in Christchurch, who are looking to appoint a skilled Vehicle Technician to join their growing workshop team. Opportunities are available across multiple levels, including Service Technicians, Vehicle Technicians, and Master Technicians.

Responsibilities & Requirements of a Vehicle Technician:

  • Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs in line with manufacturer standards.
  • Diagnose faults and complete vehicle health checks to identify additional work.
  • Ensure all work is completed efficiently, to a high standard, and documented accurately.
  • Previous experience within a dealership or independent garage environment is advantageous.
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair required for most roles (NVQ Level 2 suitable for Service Technician positions).
  • A valid UK driving licence is essential.

The Package:

  • Salary: Competitive basic salary depending on experience + bonus and overtime opportunities.
  • Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:15am-5:15pm - No Weekends!
  • Modern workshop facilities with up-to-date diagnostic equipment.
  • Supportive team environment within a well-established main dealer automotive group.
