Role: Silcom Recruitment is currently offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join an established client of ours based in Wokingham.

The ideal Assistant Accountant will hold motor trade experience however, our client is open to considering candidates from non-motor trade backgrounds, particularly those who demonstrate exceptional qualities.

Responsibilities Requirements of an

Assistant

Accountant: Assisting in the month-end process, including management accounts production, and conducting balance sheet reconciliations.

Managing accruals, prepayments and reconciling the fixed asset register.

Ensuring reconciliation of vehicle stocks and funding and verifying reconciliation of vehicle bonuses.

Participating in the annual budgeting process, performing variance analysis and reporting.

Submitting monthly performance data to manufacturers, reviewing, and organising the accounts ledgers.

Providing support to accounts clerks within the team.

Approving supplier reconciliations and bought ledger reconciliation.

Demonstrating proficiency in IT, particularly Excel usage.

Kerridge system experience highly desired.

Monday to Friday hours [37.5 hour week] – Flexible (9:00-5:00) (8:30-4:30) etc.
