Ideally based in Luton
This successful, long-standing and hugely innovative organisation is one of the major players in their field. On behalf of the major CNC cutting tool manufacturers, they promote a superb range of tools for metalwork including turning, grooving, milling and boring. In order to further strengthen their team, they have a requirement for a talented Technical Engineer to cover Peterborough, Oxford, Cambridge, Luton, Leicester and Norwich. The ideal base would be Luton but there is flexibility.
Working closely with Account Managers and Regional Account Managers, you will be responsible for the promotion of a range of high-quality cutting products and solutions to several sectors including Aerospace and Sub-contract Engineering. Reporting to the Technical Engineering Director, this exciting role will see you managing a portfolio of specific accounts working collaboratively to grow the existing business. Working from home, you will be covering a large area although with proper area management the client’s preference is to keep overnight stays to a maximum of one per week.
Having served a relevant engineering Apprenticeship, you will have a sound metal working knowledge focusing on one or more of the following areas: CNC Machining, Drilling, Milling, Turning, Tapping and Grinding. Sales experience would be an advantage but it is not essential. Character is key and you should be a team player with first-class communication and listening skills. There is a thorough induction and training process and, whilst solid support will be given, you should be a disciplined, IT literate and target-driven individual capable of working on your own initiative when required. This is an excellent opportunity to progress your career both personally and professionally with a forward-thinking market leader.
