Position: Freelance Swahili Interpreter
Location: Remote and Various locations in the U.K.

Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate interpretation services between Swahili and English
  • Assist in facilitating effective communication for Swahili-speaking individuals in a variety of settings, including healthcare, legal, educational, and social contexts
  • Maintain detailed records of assignments and adhere to client-specific guidelines
  • Comply with our rigorous Code of Conduct
  • Furnish a precise, confidential, and unbiased interpreting service

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ Interpreting experience
  • Community Interpreting Level 3 Certificate
  • DPSI
  • Any other qualifications related to Interpreting or Translation
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Languages, Translation, Interpretation or Linguistics
  • Ph.D. or Doctoral in Linguistics
  • Certificate of Higher Education in Translation, Interpretation, Languages, Philology or Linguistics
