We are now seeking an experienced, dynamic, and compassionate Regional Clinical Manager (Yorkshire, Midlands & Herts) to join our leadership team and support the delivery of high-quality immunisation services across the North region. As the Regional Clinical Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing clinical leads and ensuring that all immunisation programmes meet CQC guidance, Fundamental Standards, and organisational expectations. You’ll provide strong, visible clinical leadership, support governance activity, and drive service quality, safety, and innovation across the region.   • Working Hours: 09:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday (flexible for the right candidate)

What You’ll Do

This role is ideal for someone with significant clinical leadership experience who thrives in a fast-paced, community-based service environment and is passionate about developing teams and improving patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Leadership & Patient Safety
    • Provide visible leadership, ensuring school-aged children receive safe, professional care.
    • Monitor and support the safe delivery of vaccination programmes.
    • Act as a clinical point of contact for nursing staff.
    • Deputise for both the Clinical Lead and Clinical Director as required.
  • Safeguarding & Clinical Governance
    • Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for the region.
    • Manage safeguarding concerns in line with policy and statutory requirements.
    • Ensure accurate management of clinical incidents and complaints (CQC compliant).
    • Promote organisational learning and high standards of governance.
    • Attend quarterly safeguarding supervision.
  • Programme Delivery & Operational Support
    • Work closely with clinical staff to support day-to-day delivery of immunisation programmes.
    • Ensure compliance with Vaccination UK policies, procedures, and professional standards.
    • Support the HTC flu programme where required.
  • Workforce Management & Supervision
    • Provide formal and informal clinical supervision to nursing staff.
    • Support recruitment, induction, competency assessment, and mentor allocation.
    • Assist with annual performance reviews and revalidation processes.
  • Teaching, Training & Professional Development
    • Lead and deliver clinical training, including BCG and Hep B vaccinations.
    • Support development of training materials and structured training programmes.
    • Promote a culture of continuous professional development.
  • On‑Call & Clinical Support
    • Participate in a rolling on‑call rota to provide out‑of‑hours clinical and governance support.
    • Act as a contact for urgent clinical issues across the organisation.
  • Stakeholder Engagement, Innovation & Service Development
    • Build strong relationships with schools, parents, health authorities, and internal teams.
    • Support service improvement, innovation, and development of new bids and tenders.
    • Manage feedback constructively and advocate for patient safety.

Key Performance & Leadership Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate visible, effective leadership across the region.
  • Ensure clinical and operational practices are consistent and standardised.
  • Conduct quarterly reviews of complaints, safeguarding, governance, and incidents.
  • Work towards KPIs aligned with organisational objectives.

Qualifications

  • NMC Registered Nurse
  • Recognised Nursing qualification
  • Post‑Graduate Teaching Qualification (desirable)

Experience & Knowledge

  • Safeguarding Level 4 training
  • Essential immunisation experience
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ leadership experience at Band 7 or above
  • Experience teaching or training clinical staff
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, governance, CQC standards, and risk management
  • Experience supporting innovation, service improvement, and bid development
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage organisational‑level governance
