Sikh Sanjog is a well-established Edinburgh-based charity supporting women, girls and young people from Sikh and wider ethnic minority communities. We are seeking a Community Development Manager to lead and develop our community learning and employability programmes and youth work. This is a paid, part-time role with flexibility and opportunities to make a real difference.
About the Role
- Plan and deliver inclusive community learning programmes and youth work in line with Scottish CLD standards
- Support personal development, confidence and progression into education, training and employment
- Coordinate youth work in community and school settings
- Line manage sessional staff, trainees and volunteers
- Build strong partnerships with schools, community organisations and funders
- Contribute to monitoring, evaluation and funding applications
About You
- Experience in community learning or community development, youth work
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A commitment to empowerment, participation, equality and safeguarding
- Experience working with ethnic minority communities (desirable)
- Punjabi or other South/East Asian languages (desirable)
- Ability to travel independently across Edinburgh and surrounding areas (a full UK driving licence and access to a car is desirable).
