Job Description

We’re looking for a Business Administration Apprentice - Logistics/Transport to join our Inventory & Warehouse team at Wishaw Plant. This position at Wishaw Scotland has an opportunity to work and learn from a small, but multi-talented staff who have a great degree of product knowledge and understanding who will guide the successful candidate and support their development in all areas of the business.

Purpose of the Role

The successful candidate will report to the Inventory Manager and will work closely with the Warehouse and Transport team to prepare and issue process orders to factory and assist in supporting admin processes mainly in Transport outbound and raw materials inbound. This role is needed to enable production on plant to meet targets in terms of stock levels and raw material control.

Qualifications

The Skills: We are looking for a highly motivated person who can work to priorities, and develop along with the rest of the team to contribute to the ongoing success of the Wishaw plant and of the business. It would be an advantage for the individual to be detailed, skilled numerically, with a basic to intermediate level understanding of MS Packages, particularly Excel. We operate a SAP ERP System and experience of this or a similar platform business system would be desirable, although this can of course be learned by the successful person to accommodate a strong candidate in other skills or areas.

What we need from you?

An individual with a self-starting/can do attitude with an ability to backfill, multi-task and support where needed. A team player. An aptitude for logic, reasoning and out of the box thinking, numeric calculations as well as overall day to day task and time management. MS Office basic/intermediate (especially Excel). Ideally some ERP Knowledge or understanding or alternatively the ability to fast learn a stock control system such as SAP.
