We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Trade Distribution – South Team covering Wales. Sika is a specialty chemicals company with a globally leading position in the development and production of systems and products for bonding, sealing, damping, reinforcing, and protection in the building sector and industry. Sika has subsidiaries in 103 countries around the world, produces in over 400 factories, and develops innovative technologies for customers worldwide. In doing so, it plays a crucial role in enabling the transformation of the construction and transportation industries toward greater environmental compatibility.
The successful candidate will be responsible for all Trade Distribution account customers across postcodes CF, HR, LD, NP, SA. The South team consists of 6 Business Development Managers and this role would suit an individual that is proactive, has strong relationship building skills, enthusiastic and a desire to succeed.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maximising sales and profitability through the education and relationship management of customers and potential customers within the Trade Distribution Market.
- Delivering sales and margin budget for the region.
- Measuring success by utilising the CRM system.
- Achieving and exceeding Wales territory sales and margin budgets.
- Accessing ongoing professional development including Sika Business School.

Requirements:
- Strong field sales experience within the construction industry.
- Strategic management of area to maximise sales and profitability.
- Must be IT literate and have working knowledge of CRM systems.
- Commitment to ongoing development.
- A significant commitment to professional and personal development from day one, including comprehensive local product knowledge and leadership development initiatives complemented by a global Sika Business School offering.
- Key Account Management and Sales Management where possible.
- Clean, current driving licence.
- Minimum of 2 years field sales experience.
