We’re looking for a Manufacturing & Business Support Apprentice to join our Operations team. Location – Wishaw, Scotland. Sika is a speciality chemicals company with a globally leading position in the development and production of systems and products for bonding, sealing, damping, reinforcing, and protection in the building sector and industrial manufacturing.
This position is based at our Wishaw site in central Scotland. You will work and learn from a small, but multi-talented team who have a great degree of knowledge and understanding of manufacturing & business operations. As well as formal learning, you will gain practical experience and support towards development in all areas of the business.
Purpose of the Role
The Manufacturing Business Support Apprentice will support the site management team in the delivery of the business operational strategy. Your role in this will be to help in providing accurate business reporting and effective resource management to the manufacturing department. You will have the opportunity to get involved and solve real life day to day problems gaining invaluable practical experience working as part of a fast paced manufacturing site.

The Support
To support you in your role you will be provided with day to day support by your line manager as well as ongoing mentoring from existing team members. You will work as part of a business with a strong culture of promoting continued ongoing professional development.

The role will develop core skills in communication, data analysis, problem solving & decision making whilst gaining a practical understanding of manufacturing operations.
