We are hiring for a Control Manager role within the Chief Control Office, supporting enterprise-wide technology risk and control initiatives. The role focuses on governance, risk and control management, process design, operational oversight, regulatory reporting, and continuous improvement of risk management frameworks. The selected candidate will be responsible for defining and maintaining risk and control processes, supporting internal and external reporting, driving governance activities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to strengthen operational controls and ensure consistent risk management practices across the technology organization. This is a hybrid role based at the client’s office in Sheffield.

Your tasks

  • Supporting the design and continuous improvement of risk and control management processes in line with organizational requirements, industry standards, and best practices
  • Measuring and monitoring risk and control management processes to ensure objectives and desired outcomes are achieved
  • Executing risk, control, and governance processes in a timely, consistent, and compliant manner
  • Identifying and escalating exceptions in risk and control processes to leadership and relevant stakeholders
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to enhance existing processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Managing and collaborating with stakeholders across multiple lines of defence, including collecting feedback and providing operational support and guidance

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in Technology Risk & Control Management, Governance, or Operational Risk
  • Openness to hybrid work from the Sheffield office
  • Strong understanding of Risk & Control Frameworks, including KCIs, KRIs, KPIs, risk assessment, governance, and compliance processes
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language
  • Hands-on experience in process improvement, problem-solving, operational governance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives
  • Familiarity with GRC tools such as IBM OpenPages, ServiceNow GRC, or similar Governance, Risk & Compliance platforms
  • Fluent English communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to collaborate effectively with global stakeholders
