- Support updates to operator‑facing interfaces (HMI and web configuration) from a system behaviour perspective.
- Collaborate with verification engineers on integration and regression testing, ensuring system‑level acceptance criteria are met.
- Produce and maintain system design documentation, test evidence, and compliance artefacts for customer and certification authority review.
- Coordinate with cross‑disciplinary teams (hardware, FPGA, DSP, comms) to deliver end‑to‑end system solutions.
- Strong foundation in embedded software engineering (C), with the ability to reason at both code and system integration levels.
- Experience with embedded development toolchains (e.g., Xilinx ISE, Altera Quartus, MSP430 CrossWorks, TI Code Composer).
- Familiarity with requirements and verification management tools (e.g., Polarion, TestRail).
- Proven experience in requirements‑driven, compliance‑focused engineering within safety‑critical or defence programmes.
- Proficiency with engineering toolchains and CI/CD workflows (BitBucket, Jira, Bamboo).
- Knowledge of IP networking, VoIP, and real‑time communications protocols.
- Background in safety‑critical or defence‑certified software/hardware systems (e.g., DEF‑STAN, DO‑178C, MISRA).
- Experience working across system‑of‑systems environments, managing interfaces and trade‑offs between hardware, firmware, and software.
- Contribution to certification, assurance, or acceptance processes in defence or aerospace.
