We are looking for a

Manufacturing Systems Support Engineer to support the industrialisation and day-to-day operation of 3DX Delmia and Apriso environments within a leading defence manufacturing setting in

Stevenage .

This role sits close to manufacturing engineering and shopfloor users, helping teams resolve issues, improve processes and make effective use of key digital manufacturing tools.

This is a hands‑on support role suited to someone who enjoys working with manufacturing teams, solving problems, coordinating with technical stakeholders and helping users get the best from digital manufacturing systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the PMTD focal point supporting shopfloor and manufacturing engineering teams.
  • Provide first‑line support and initial issue analysis for Apriso and 3DX Delmia.
  • Identify and classify issue types, including bug, standard, custom, infrastructure and methodology‑related issues.
  • Manage incidents, requests and user queries through the appropriate support process.
  • Coordinate 3DX topics with the manufacturing engineering team and support effective communication with the business.
  • Support business needs relating to new Apriso improvements and functional support requests.
  • Deliver user training on Apriso and 3DX, including feedback on training materials and best practice guidance.
  • Manage user access for Apriso and support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing tool usage.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience supporting 3DX Delmia, Apriso or similar manufacturing systems / MES tools.
  • Manufacturing engineering, production engineering or shopfloor support background.
  • Experience working in a support, ticketing, incident or request management environment.
  • Ability to act as a focal point between business users, manufacturing teams and technical stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence supporting users directly.
  • Experience delivering user guidance, training or functional support.
  • Comfortable working on‑site in Stevenage for 4‑5 days per week.

Desirable Skills

  • Previous aerospace, defence, space systems or highly regulated manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with best‑practice or continuous‑improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing execution tools, process preparation tools or digital manufacturing environments.
  • Experience managing user access or permissions within manufacturing systems.
