Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Human Resource Generalist to join our HR Team. This role requires a strong generalist background and the ability to work collaboratively with all areas of the business including Departmental Heads, Leadership Team and Employees. The HR Generalist will be involved in day-to-day HR operations delivering high levels of support, compliance and operational efficiency while ensuring a positive workplace.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Managing employee data: Maintaining accurate employee data on internal systems and ensuring alignment throughout.
  • Recruitment and Talent Acquisition: Prepare job descriptions, advertise vacant positions, and manage the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring the selection of top talent to meet our growing needs.
  • Onboarding and Employee lifecycle: Involved in the onboarding process and monitor the entire employee work life cycle, from entry to exit, fostering a positive employee experience.
  • Employee Relations: Supporting HR Manager in complex issues, also the ability to lead lower-level ER issues by offering advice and signposting.
  • Grievance and Disciplinary Issues: Support in managing grievance and disciplinary matters, fostering a fair and respectful workplace.
  • Holiday Management: Managing internal HR Management system.
  • Internal and external communications: Collaborating with HQ on all communications uploaded to internal Intranet.
  • Contract Management: Manage different employment contracts and agreements, ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies.
  • HRIS and Payroll Expertise: Leverage your strong background in HRIS systems and payroll administration.
  • Policy and Procedures: Create and update policies to keep within the law and give guidance to managers and employees.
  • Audits: Work alongside the HR Manager in internal & external audits to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
  • Benefits Administration: Manage employee benefits programs, which includes health insurance, and other perks. Assist employees with benefit-related inquiries and ensure compliance with regulations.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to effectively communicate in written English.
  • Able to work independently and with a team as needed.
  • Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and good sense of ownership.
  • Knowledge of UK employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, delegate them when appropriate to HR Administrator.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Experience within payroll is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of the Deaf Community is advantageous.

Experience / Education / Certifications

  • Two + years’ human resources experience.
  • Preferably educated to CIPD Level 3.
  • Experience with various HRIS and recruiting platforms preferred.
