Join Sign Spinning UK\’s team of Sign Spinners for flexible freelance work across the UK.
Weare building our team of Spinners, and have paid freelance work to offer once training has been successfully completed. This is your chance to learn new performance skills, and join an international community of Sign Spinners with regular work across the UK.
We’re seeking athletic individuals, including but not limited to performers with strong backgrounds in dance, acrobatics, street theatre or contact/prop manipulation to train as professional sign spinners and join our UK team. This is an opportunity to develop a unique performance skill and become part of an international movement blending street performance, advertising, and entertainment.
With regular free training camp intensives led by international Sign Spinning Champions and our UK Spinners, we\’ll support your skills development. Training Camps, and weekly meet ups for ongoing training support will be hosted in Birmingham/Coventry.
Company Description
Sign Spinning is a creative event marketing and advertising form, where athletic dancers and performers spin signs with your message on, helping you to connect with your customers, build footfall, brand recall, and create a buzz around your events and store openings. We are the Home of UK Sign Spinning and the only authorized provider with licence from the investors AArrow SignSpinners in the USA.
Training
We run regular training camps in Birmingham and Coventry, West Midlands with international Sign Spinning Champions and weekly meet ups to help you learn and develop Sign Spinning Skills. You\’ll need to accomplish a specified trick list before being sent on your first Spinning Events. Apply to find out when the next camp is taking place.
Role Description
This is an on-site contract role for Sign Spinners, based in Birmingham. Sign Spinners will be responsible for spinning promotional signs at various locations, engaging with passersby, and creating a lively atmosphere. Day-to-day tasks include performing sign spinning routines, interacting with the public, and maintaining a positive attitude while promoting clients\’ messages.
Qualifications
- Physical stamina and fitness for performing sign spinning routines
- Ability to engage with the public and create a positive atmosphere
- Excellent time management and punctuality
- Creativity in developing engaging sign spinning routines
- Ability to work independently and reliably
- Previous experience in performance, dance, gymnastics or promotional work is a plus
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
- Willingness to practice and develop your skills, joining free training sessions and meet ups
Location
Training and meets ups take place in Birmingham and Coventry, UK
We\’re wanting to build a locally based team and build our Spinning community.
Spinning events are across the UK.
Travel (and accommodation where needed) is paid for only for work is across the UK.

Rates of pay
We use Union Guides (ITC and Equity) performers day rates as a guide for our rates of pay and expenses.
There is no charge for training and meet ups. Training is not paid for.
Any future work offer is conditional on meeting required skill level, attending training, availability, location and other business needs. Contracts are offered on a freelance, self employed basis only. You need prove your right to work in the UK. Being selected for and completing the training camps does not guarantee an offer of work.
Sign Spinning UK are the UK home of the World Famous AArrow Spinners and work in partnership with SignSpin.de We hold sole licence to Sign Spinning in the UK and are the only authorised providers
