We are looking for an experienced Lead Sign Installer to join our friendly, professional team at Signs Express (Leicester & Loughborough) to help with the installation of a wide variety of signage projects both internally and externally.
Location: Signs Express (Leicester & Loughborough), Unit 3 Beaumont Court, Prince William Road, Loughborough, Leicestershire, LE11 5DA.
Working Hours: Full-time position, Monday-Thursday 8:00am-4:45pm & Friday 8.00am- 3.35pm
Travel & Qualifications: A full UK driving licence is essential. IPAF and PASMA qualifications are desirable
We are looking for a candidate with a positive, can-do attitude, that is able to maintain our high standards of workmanship and quality.
Duties Include
- Install a wide range of signage (internal, external, illuminated, vinyl, large-format)
- Work with tools, access equipment (ladders, scaffolding, MEWPs), and fixings
- Ensure correct positioning, alignment, and secure mounting
- Site Preparation
- Conduct site surveys and risk assessments
- Check measurements, materials, and drawings before installation
- Prepare surfaces and structures
- Health & Safety
- Enforce safety regulations and safe working practices
- Use PPE and ensure team compliance
- Manage working-at-height procedures
- Quality Control
- Ensure installations meet design specs and client expectations
- Troubleshoot issues on-site
- Carry out final inspections
- Logistics & Coordination
- Organise transport of signage and equipment
- Keep records of work completed
What we would like from you
- Strong experience in signage installation
- Ability to read technical drawings and plans
- Knowledge of electrical components (for illuminated signs)
- Good problem-solving skills
- Full UK driving licence
Certifications (Preferred, but not essential)
- IPAF (for powered access platforms)
- PASMA (for mobile towers)
- 20 days holiday allowance, plus bank holidays.
