With a strong reputation for quality and customer service, we are looking for a Sign Production Operative with sign making and installation experience to join Signs Express (Bedford) to play a pivotal role as we look at our next phase of business growth. The perfect candidate will have a positive, can-do attitude, be able to maintain our high standards of workmanship and quality, be self-motivated and be a good role model for the rest of the team. This job would suit someone who likes to see the impact they have on both our company and our client’s business. This is a hands-on, varied role that involves the manufacture, preparation, and installation of graphics for vehicles along with internal and external signage. You'll work both in-house and on-site, so a flexible and professional attitude is essential.

Salary: Dependent on experience
Duties Include:
- Operate and maintain large format printer, vinyl cutter and laminator.
- Manufacture and assemble a wide range of signage solutions using vinyl application, digital printing, and other manufacturing techniques.
- Assist lead installer when required with installation of all types of internal and external signage, including fascia and post mounted signs at clients’ premises.
- Application of vinyl onto a variety of substrates including vehicles, vehicle wraps and window graphics.
- Sign making, working with a wide range of substrates including ACM, acrylics, metals, vinyl and Foamex, to a consistently high standard.
- Ensuring all works are completed on time, and to our usual high standards.
- Following all company procedures and guidelines to ensure all signs are fitted safely and securely.
- Taking responsibility for your own and others’ health and safety when working.
- Ensuring Risk Assessments and Method Statements are understood and followed.
- Providing outstanding customer service to our clients and others at all times.
What we would like from you:
- A minimum of one year sign making experience.
- You will have a positive, can-do attitude, be well organised and be able to work alone as well as part of our team.
- The ability to interpret briefs accurately.
- IPAF/PASMA accreditations (desirable but not essential).
- Previous experience with Adobe Illustrator (desirable but not essential).
- Clean driving licence (desirable but not essential).
- Good timekeeping.
- An understanding of the importance of health & safety.
