We are looking for a part-time Sales Coordinator preferably with sign industry experience to join our team at Signs Express Bedford and play a pivotal role. As Sales Coordinator, you will play a key role in the sales process from first enquiry through to project completion. You will be a central point of contact for customers, helping to understand their requirements, discussing various options, coordinate quotes, liaise with internal teams and ensure every customer receives a professional, responsive and helpful service. This role would suit someone who enjoys working in a busy, varied environment and has strong communication, organisation and customer service skills.

Salary: Dependent on experience

Working Hours: Part-time position, Monday-Friday 9:00am-2:00pm

About the Role: Working across various industry sectors, you will be an excellent communicator, managing the front end of the sales cycle and be a key face in the business. You will be expected to use all outbound sales channels to nurture existing business and drive new business opportunities.

Duties Include:

  • Build strong relationships with new and existing customers, engaging professionally to understand their needs and exceed expectations.
  • Respond promptly to incoming enquiries by phone, email and online channels, ensuring a positive impression and high standard of customer service.
  • Generate leads, identify new business opportunities and contribute to the delivery of sales targets.
  • Gather customer requirements and carry out consultation.
  • Prepare, issue and follow up quotations using the company quotation system, including routine customer contact.
  • Coordinate artwork approvals, order confirmations, project timelines and customer updates to ensure a seamless customer journey.
  • Liaise with design, production and installation teams to ensure projects progress smoothly from enquiry through to completion.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, job information, pipeline updates and internal system data.
  • Develop and support a strategic sales plan aligned with business objectives to grow the local customer base.
  • Support the Centre Owner and wider team with day-to-day administration, local marketing, customer retention activity and wider business operations as required.

About You: We are looking for someone who is confident, organised and enjoys dealing with people. You do not need to have worked in signage before, although experience in sales coordination, customer service, print, graphics, manufacturing or a similar project-led environment would be beneficial.

You will ideally have:

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • A confident and friendly telephone manner.
  • Good organisation and time management skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple enquiries and tasks at once.
  • A proactive approach to customer service and problem-solving.
  • Confidence using email, CRM systems, Microsoft Office or similar software.
  • A positive, team-focused attitude.
  • An interest in branding, signage, print, graphics or visual communications.

Uniform provided. 28 days holiday allowance pro rata inclusive of bank holidays. Christmas and New Year closure to allow time with friends and family.
