Due to continued growth within our business, we have an opportunity for an experienced Sign Maker & Installer to join our production centre, on a full-time basis, at Signs Express (Glasgow).
Location: Signs Express (Glasgow), Unit 9, Carberry Court, Hillington Park, Glasgow, G52 4NQ
Salary: The salary offered will be commensurate with experience, we also offer a company pension scheme.
Role: This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5.00pm but will need to be flexible to work outside these hours and be prepared to travel and be away overnight on occasion.
About Us: We offer a wide range of signage and graphic products, including digitally printed wall coverings, vehicle graphics, fabricated aluminium signs, illuminated signs and many other products. We operate out of a modern custom designed building and have a wide range of sign making equipment. We pride ourselves in offering high quality products and excellent customer service, therefore you will be required to work to a high standard and to demanding deadlines.
About the Role: We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Sign Maker & Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail and takes pride in producing/installing high-quality signage and graphics. You’ll be responsible for manufacturing, printing, and applying graphics across a range of materials, including vinyl, acrylic, and Dibond, as well as assisting with installations on-site.
Experience in vehicle wrapping would be highly advantageous, along with confidence in using sign-making equipment such as vinyl cutters, printers, and laminators. We’re after someone who enjoys hands-on work, can manage multiple projects, and takes pride in delivering excellent results. A strong sense of craftsmanship, teamwork, and reliability will help you thrive in this role.
You will require a minimum of two years’ industry experience and possess a full driving licence. Although not essential, possession of a valid IPAF Certificate and CSCS card would be an advantage.
Ideally you will have worked in the signage industry for at least two years covering a full range of skills and experience such as:
- Proficiency in the application of graphics onto a variety of substrates including vehicles, windows and digital wall coverings
- Manage workflow using plotters, large format printers and other signage equipment
- Good attention to detail and effective communication with clients and colleagues
- Visit clients to carry out surveys and document information accurately
- Fitting of a variety of signage and graphics solutions
- Strong understanding of signage manufacturing techniques
- Full Driving Licence
