Overview
Sign Maker/Installer – Signs Express (Bristol). As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a skilled and experienced Sign Maker & Installer to join our team at Signs Express (Bristol).
As a Sign Maker & Installer, you will be responsible for the production and installation of a wide range of signage products, ensuring high standards of quality and precision. You will work both in-house and on-site, collaborating with our design and production teams to deliver outstanding results for our clients.
Duties Include
- Operate and maintain large format printers, vinyl cutters and laminators (Onyx rip software & Mimaki rasterlink).
- In-house production.
- Install all types of internal and external signage, including fascia and post mounted signs.
- Apply vinyl onto a variety of substrates including vehicles and window graphics.
- Apply vinyl on a variety of vehicles for either partial or full wrapping.
- Interpret briefs accurately with a great understanding of different signage and manufacturing techniques.
- Work in a fast-paced environment.
- Sign making, working with a wide range of substrates including Dibond, acrylics, metals, wood, vinyl and Foamex, to a consistently high standard.
- Ensure all installations are completed on time, to budget and to high standards.
- Follow all company procedures and guidelines to ensure all signs are fitted safely and securely.
- Take responsibility for your own and others’ health and safety when working.
- Ensure Risk Assessments and Method Statements are understood and followed.
- Provide outstanding customer service to clients and others at all times.
What We Would Like From You
- A minimum of four years\’ industry experience making and installing a wide range of signage solutions.
- Experience in the use of wide format printers, vinyl plotters and laminators with a strong understanding of signage and manufacturing techniques.
- Proven experience in a sign fitting role, including vehicle graphics application, panel application, installation and use of relevant software packages.
- Positive, can-do attitude, well organised and able to work alone as well as part of a team.
- Good working knowledge of design and RIP software.
- Ability to interpret briefs accurately.
- IPAF/PASMA/CSCS accreditations (desirable but not essential).
- Clean driving licence.
- Professional, flexible, enthusiastic individual with strong communication, organisation, and the ability to work independently or in a team.
- Understanding of health & safety.
