We are looking for a skilled Sign Installer to join our friendly, professional team at Signs Express (Falkirk) to help us safely and effectively install a wide and exciting range of signage solutions to the highest of standards.

The perfect candidate will be a multi-skilled individual with skills in maintenance, repair work and an all-round problem solver, with experience in the signage industry also being advantageous. You will have a can-do attitude, be able to maintain our high standards of workmanship and quality, be self-motivated and be a good role model for the rest of the team.

Location: Signs Express (Falkirk), Unit 2E, West Mains Industrial Estate, Grangemouth, FK3 8Y

Salary: From £35,000 per year dependent on experience

Working Hours: Full-time position, Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm

Travel: A full driving licence is essential for travel

Duties Include:

  • Safely and effectively install various types of signage, including illuminated, non-illuminated, fascia, post-mounted, and internal signage at client sites across the local area.
  • Alongside the production team, prepare and assemble signs before installation, ensuring all components are correctly fabricated and ready for installation.
  • Conduct site surveys to assess installation requirements, measure spaces, and identify any potential challenges.
  • Following all company procedures and guidelines to ensure all signs are created/fitted safely and securely.
  • Ensuring Risk Assessments and Method Statements are understood.
  • Ensure all installations are carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations, including the safe use of ladders, scaffolding, lifting equipment and working at height.
  • Taking responsibility for your own and others’ health and safety when working.
  • Providing outstanding customer service to our clients and others at all times.
  • Assisting in-house production staff when required.

What We Would Like From You:

  • A minimum of two years' industry experience installing a wide range of signage solutions and working at height would be advantageous.
  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, with a strong understanding of electrical work relating to illuminated signage for example.
  • A multi-skilled tradesperson with skills in maintenance, repair work and an all-round problem solver.
  • A full, clean UK driving licence is essential.
  • Valid CSCS card is preferred.
  • Must be comfortable and competent working at height, with appropriate training and certification.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems on-site efficiently.
  • High level of attention to detail, ensuring all installations are completed to the highest standard.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • The ability to interpret briefs accurately.
