Overview
Signs Express Huddersfield & Halifax is looking for a motivated and versatile individual to join our team as a part-time Graphic Designer & Office Support Executive, encompassing creative design responsibilities with administrative support.
You will play a key part in creating eye-catching designs for signage projects, preparing artwork for production and supporting the team with day-to-day office tasks.
- Location: Signs Express (Huddersfield & Halifax), Units 15/16, Queens Mill Industrial Estate, Queens Mill Road, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, HD1 3RR
- Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

About The Role
- The role will include involvement in all design aspects of our signage projects, including liaising with clients over initial briefs, design creatives, specification and preparation of artwork.
- Assisting in the quotation process, through to preparation and production of graphics.
- This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is experienced in CorelDraw & Adobe design packages, who would like to further their career in this creative field.
- Successful candidates will be responsible for designing the bespoke signage and vehicle graphics required by our customers with the ability to show draft sketches and outlines to demonstrate their design concepts.
- Alongside this, you will provide administrative support including answering phone calls, handling emails, and managing enquiries when you’re not designing.
- Assist with scheduling, quotations, and job tracking to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Update customer records and manage documentation accurately.
- Contribute to marketing activities, including updating social media channels and supporting local campaigns.
What We Need From You
- Proven experience in graphic design (signage industry experience advantageous).
- Understanding how to arrange elements (text, images, etc) for print ready.
- Choosing and setting fonts that are readable and appropriate for print.
- Understanding of how colours translate from design to print.
- Strong proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence to liaise directly with clients.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask.
- Competence in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
