Experienced Sign Maker
Signs Express Sheffield & Rotherham have been established for over 25 years and have grown to be national market leaders offering a full range of signage and graphics services throughout the public and private sectors. We are now seeking a forward thinking experienced Sign Maker wanting to progress their career and to play an integral part in developing and growing our team.
Location: Signs Express (Sheffield), Unit 18 Aspen Court, Centurion Business Park, Rotherham, South Yorkshire, S60 1FB
Salary: Depending on experience
Working Hours: Full-time position, 40 hours a week, 8.30am – 5.00pm Monday – Friday (from time to time you maybe required to work additional hours to meet deadlines)

As an established, family run, award-winning business servicing Sheffield, Rotherham and the surrounding areas, we are part of the UK and Ireland’s leading signage and graphics network with an excellent reputation for bespoke solutions, delivered with excellent customer care.
The ideal candidate will have a full range of skills and experience including:
- Be an experienced Sign Maker and have 2-3 years’ experience in signage production, covering all types of signage and including good knowledge of manufacturing and installation techniques, including setting and operating equipment such as vinyl plotters, digital printers, laser engravers and cnc routers.
- Experience in production planning, ordering materials, and scheduling installations would be a distinct advantage.
- Have good creative and technical design skills and knowledge of Adobe Illustrator.
- Be able to demonstrate previous customer facing experience, including some experience of carrying out site surveys and producing quotations.
- Ability to interpret design and project briefs accurately.
- Have experience of good health and safety practice.
- Be highly flexible in approach, self-motivated and confident to work on own initiative, as well as being an excellent communicator and relish the opportunity to work within a small, highly motivated team.
- IPAF/PASMA/CSCS accreditations desired but not essential as training will be given.
- Full, clean, diving licence essential.
Successful applicants will be enthusiastic, able to work on their own initiative, be flexible, a great team player, well organised and have a good understanding of the importance of health and safety.
