Due to continued business growth, we are looking to recruit a full-time, permanent Sign Installer/Production Operative to join our busy production centre in Beeston, Nottingham. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established and growing business where quality, teamwork and customer service are at the heart of everything we do.
Location: Signs Express (Nottingham), Unit 3, The Mill, 110 Queens Road East, Beeston, Nottingham, NG9 2FD
Salary: Competitive salary starting from £27,000
Working Hours: Full-Time, 8am-5pm Monday to Thursday, 8am-4pm Friday
Travel: A full, clean driving licence and own transport is essential for local travel
The Role
This is a varied, hands-on position combining in-house production with on-site installation. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality signage solutions for a wide range of clients.
Duties Include:
- Pre-installation preparation and assembly
- Planning ahead in line with weekly work schedules
- Interpreting job briefs accurately and efficiently
- Manufacturing signage to a high standard using a variety of substrates including ACM, acrylic, metal, wood, Foamex and vinyl
- Weeding and taping cut graphics
- Applying vinyl graphics to signage substrates
- Applying vehicle graphics
- Conducting quality control checks throughout the production process
- Checking off completed jobs prior to dispatch or installation
- Following company procedures to ensure signage is installed safely and securely
- Understanding and adhering to Risk Assessments and Method Statements
- Taking responsibility for your own and others’ health and safety
- Providing excellent customer service on-site and in-house
- Assisting production colleagues as required
- General day-to-day workshop and installation duties
About You
While previous sign installation or sign-making experience would be advantageous, full training will be provided for the right candidate.
- A full UK driving licence
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good organisational skills
- Basic computer literacy
- Confidence using power tools (training provided)
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A positive, flexible and enthusiastic attitude
