We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Sign Maker & Installer to join our busy team at Signs Express (Leicester & Loughborough). This varied role involves the production and installation of a wide range of signage solutions, including vehicle graphics, interior and exterior signs, window graphics, exhibition displays, and large-format prints.
The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Location: Signs Express (Leicester & Loughborough), Unit 3 Beaumont Court, Prince William Road, Loughborough, LE11 5DA
Salary: Up to £30,000 dependent on experience
Travel & Qualifications: A full driving licence is essential, plus IPAF and PASMA qualifications are desirable.

Duties Include:
- Installing all types of internal and external signage, including fascia and post mounted signs.
- Application of vinyl onto a variety of substrates including vehicles and window graphics.
- Interpreting briefs accurately with a great understanding of different signage and manufacturing techniques.
- Sign making, working with a wide range of substrates including aluminium, ACM, acrylic, wood, vinyl and Foamex, to a consistently high standard.
- Support all in-house production.
- Ideally have experience operating and maintaining a large format printer, plotter and laminator.
- Ensuring all installations are completed on time, to budget and to our usual high standards.
- Following all company procedures and guidelines to ensure all signs are fitted safely and securely.
- The ability to work at height and use power tools in line with H&S guidelines.
- Taking responsibility for your own and others’ health and safety when working.
- Ensuring Risk Assessments and Method Statements are understood and followed.
What we would like from you:
- A minimum of two years’ industry experience making and installing a wide range of signage solutions.
- Experience in the use of wide format printers, vinyl plotters and laminators is desirable.
- Proven experience in a sign fitting role is necessary, including vehicle graphics application, panel application and installation.
- You will have a positive, can-do attitude, be well organised and be able to work alone as well as part of our team.
- Working knowledge of design and RIP software (desirable).
- The ability to interpret briefs accurately.
- PAF/PASMA/CSCS accreditations (desirable but not essential).
- Professional, flexible, enthusiastic individual, a strong communicator, well organised and be able to work alone, as well as part of a team.
- An understanding of the importance of health & safety.
20 days holiday allowance, plus bank holidays. Christmas and New Year closure to allow time with friends and family.
