We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Sign Maker to join our dynamic team at Signs Express (Harlow) as we enter our next phase of business growth. The perfect candidate will have a positive, can-do attitude, be able to maintain our high standards of workmanship and quality, be self-motivated and be a good role model for the rest of the team. Location and Compensation
- Location: Signs Express (Harlow), Unit 1 Maple River Industrial Estate, River Way, Templefields, Harlow, CM20 2DP
- Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
- Working Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-5 pm
- Travel: A full, clean driving licence required

Duties Include
- Manufacture a wide range of signs including internal and external signage, vehicle graphics, window graphics, exhibition displays, and bespoke fabricated signs.
- Sign making, working with a wide range of substrates including Dibond, acrylics, metals, wood, vinyl and Foamex, to a consistently high standard.
- Operate and maintain sign-making equipment such as vinyl plotters, large format printers, laminators, and CNC routers.
- Application of vinyl graphics and digital prints to various substrates including vehicles, panels, and windows.
- Interpret briefs accurately with a great understanding of different signage and manufacturing techniques.
- Take responsibility for own and others health and safety when working.
- Ensure Risk Assessments and Method Statements are understood and followed.
- Provide outstanding customer service to our clients and others at all times.
What We Would Like From You
- Minimum three years of experience in a similar sign-making role.
- Proven experience with vinyl application and vehicle graphics.
- Strong working knowledge of sign-making equipment and materials.
- Good understanding of health and safety practices, including working at height and use of access equipment.
- Experience with CNC routing and fabrication.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements.
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence is essential.
- IPAF, PASMA or CSCS certification is desirable.
- Design software knowledge (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, FlexiSign, CorelDRAW) is desirable but not essential.
